Founded by Melissa Churchard Hannon, a certified executive coach and leadership development expert with 20+ years of experience, Align
LLC. is a catalyst for change. Through community, coaching, skill building, and organizational education, we help eliminate gender bias and build more equitable workplaces.
I transform how women lead. With over two decades in leadership development and eight years as an executive coach, I’ve empowered hundreds of women and organizations to build authentic confidence, command executive presence, and rise into leadership on their own terms.
When I’m not coaching or consulting, I’m a mother of four, pushing my limits as a competitive runner, and finding balance in the saddle as an equestrian. These experiences shape my approach: leadership built on optimism, resilience, and adaptability.
This journey began in 2012 with what was supposed to be a routine session for women engineers at an aerospace company. When they finally had space to speak freely, something profound happened—they realized their struggles weren’t personal failures but shared experiences. The microaggressions they described were difficult to hear, but the power of their connection was undeniable.
One story changed everything. A brilliant young PhD engineer leading an all-male team shared how her colleagues had named the robot they were building “the bitch” and made sexually explicit comments whenever it succeeded or malfunctioned. When she gathered the courage to report it, HR’s response was devastating: “You need to toughen up.”
That moment crystallized my mission. The workplace doesn’t need women who’ve “toughened up” to survive broken systems—it needs systems that recognize women’s strength and leadership as they are.
This is why I do what I do.
We empower women to rise into leadership by providing coaching, community, and skill development. We also partner with organizations to eliminate bias and create equal opportunities.

We serve ambitious women who are doing it all—leading at work, managing home life, and often putting themselves last. These women are often their own toughest critics, trying to meet society’s expectations rather than defining success on their own terms. Our approach helps women break free from outdated leadership molds—not leading “like a man” or “like a woman,” but leading as themselves. We focus on values-based leadership, inner confidence, and redefining success authentically.
We also address one of the biggest challenges women in leadership face: loneliness at the top. Align . builds a strong community of support, connection, and belonging so no one has to lead alone.
